Christmas in July Competition Aims to Help Hundreds of Children

Even though Christmas and the holiday season are months away, it is never too early to think about helping children in need. KVC gives a gift to all children that reside in active KVC foster/adoptive homes whether the child is being fostered, has been adopted or is a biological child. This is no small undertaking; it means gathering gifts for over 600 children!

For this reason, we are starting early with a WV_Elffriendly “Christmas in July” competition between our eight offices to see which team of staff can collect the most gifts and gift cards for children by reaching out to individuals and community partners. The presents will be given out at KVC’s Resource Foster Parent Conference in December.

You can help! Whether you participate as an individual, church, business or other organization, please consider donating an unwrapped, new toy or a gift card!  We will be glad to pick gifts up, or you can drop them off at one of our local KVC offices. This will allow the children we serve to have a magical holiday season and you will be helping the community!  Please contact Kristi Ferrell at krferrell@kvc.org or at 304-687-3851 to donate today.

The office that gathers the most items will receive prizes themselves, so donate to your local KVC office today!
