Are you willing to complete the 30+hour training course?
You must enroll and complete the 30-hour Parent Resource information Development and and Education (PRIDE) training. All potential foster parents in West Virginia must complete this training. Other courses include CPR/First Aid and Crisis Deescalation (also known as the Mandt System). These classes will prepare you to care for children of different needs, and this is also a great time to decide if fostering is right for you and your family.
