KVC had its Fourth Annual Ride ‘n Raffle on September 20 at Cedar Lakes in Ripley, West Virginia. The Ride ‘n Raffle benefits children in foster care. (KVC is the largest private foster care provider in the state, serving an average of 280 children in care daily.)

The motorcycle riders left from four different areas in the state – King Coal Chevrolet in Oak Hill, Pinpoint Auto Service in Huntington, the KVC Office in Ripley, and Mike’s Harley Davidson in Delbarton. Along the way, they purchased raffle tickets for a chance to win amazing prizes donated by 109 generous businesses and individuals.

At the end of the ride, everyone congregated at Cedar Lakes enjoy more raffles, music and barbecue prepared by Triple A Farms.

It was a wonderful grassroots initiative that increased community awareness about the needs of children we serve. In total, we had 93 bikes and 138 riders, and raised thousands of dollars for children served by KVC foster families.
