To educate our community about eating disorders and their treatment options, KVC is hosting a virtual training designed specifically for our partners in the child welfare and behavioral healthcare industries. Participants will receive 2 CEUs.
Participants will learn about the Circles of Safety and earn 2 CEUs.

In this training, participants will learn about the types of loss, their influence on behavior, and help children cope with separation to minimize the trauma of placement.
Participants will learn the value of a child’s family connections, and the importance of visits. They will also discover how to support children before and after visits.
Participants will learn what PBIS is, general support tips, as well as how to support plans that are in place.
Participants will learn the goals of effective discipline, and will learn developmentally appropriate, non-physical disciplinary techniques that will meet those goals.
Participants will learn the importance of permanence, and of supporting a youth’s connections to their biological family and previous placements. They will learn more about the process of adoption, and the impact fostering, and adoption may have on their family.
