KVC West Virginia is a private, nonprofit organization that serves over 3,000 children, teens and adults each year. Our team of caring professionals provides home- and community-based services that strengthen families and prevent foster care, outpatient mental health therapy, foster care, foster parent recruitment and support, adoption, and youth academic and mentorship programs.

Free CEU Training: Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Unlock the power to transform your practice with our online CEU course for social workers and licensed professional counselors (LPCs). During this training, you’ll learn more about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through Nadine Burke Harris‘ groundbreaking book, “The Deepest Well.” You’ll also gain insights into how ACEs influence individual health outcomes and shape community wellbeing.
We’ll explore the neuroscience behind ACEs and their effects on both social work/mental health practice and personal health. You’ll also learn practical strategies to mitigate trauma’s effects and understand how impactful advocacy is in driving community change. This training will equip you with the knowledge and tools to not only transform your practice but also contribute to meaningful change.
Led by experienced trainer, Erin Keltner, our training blends interactive activities, insightful case studies, and real-life examples. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your knowledge and make a real difference in your community. Attendees who complete the full training will receive 2 CEUs.
Objectives
With this training, you will:

Meet the Presenter

Erin Keltner, LCSW, LICSW
Erin Keltner is President of KVC West Virginia, where she leads our team of caring professionals who help thousands of children, teens, families and adults each year. As President, Erin builds vibrant relationships both within our team and with our partners to provide heart-centered services to solve the challenges West Virginia children and families are experiencing.
With over 20 years of experience, she has held many roles in child welfare and mental health from direct care to leadership. Erin holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Transylvania University. She is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky and a licensed independent clinical social worker in West Virginia. Learn more about Erin at kvcwv.org/leadership.
