KVC West Virginia is a private, nonprofit organization that serves over 3,000 children, teens and adults each year. Our team of caring professionals provides home- and community-based services that strengthen families and prevent foster care, outpatient mental health therapy, foster care, foster parent recruitment and support, adoption, and youth academic and mentorship programs.

In-Home Safety Training for Social Workers, DHHR Employees

Are you concerned with your safety when making home visits?
With the increase in the health and economic uncertainties affecting many of our clients and families, the need for safety preparedness when completing home visits has never been greater.
KVC is offering a virtual “In-Home Safety” training designed specifically for our partners in the behavioral healthcare industry. This training is offered free of charge for DHHR employees and $40 for industry professionals and healthcare agencies.
Participants will receive two CEUs upon completion of this training.
In this two-hour training, Erin Keltner, MSW LICSW, KVC West Virginia’s Vice President of Clinical Services will discuss:
- How to prepare for home visits and maintain professionalism in the home
- Dealing with uncomfortable situations in homes
- The do’s and don’ts of in-home safety
We have two training times available on Wednesday, January 13:
Cost:
Free – DHHR Employees
$40 ($20 per credit hour x 2) – Industry professionals and healthcare agencies
