Improving Wellbeing at Work Virtual Training (2 CEUs)

According to Gallup, 28% of U.S. employees experience burnout on the job very often or always. For social workers and mental health professionals, the prevalence of burnout is even more common. A study conducted following the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic reported that 64% of social workers were experiencing burnout. Social workers and mental health professionals are especially at risk for burnout because they are exposed to the effects of trauma, poverty, and social and racial inequality on a daily basis.
Every workplace needs more resilient employees. A global mental health crisis and economic turmoil have created a need for a renewed focus on employee engagement and wellbeing. To help our partners and communities combat burnout and improve their wellbeing at work, KVC is hosting a virtual training designed specifically for our partners in the child welfare and behavioral healthcare industries. Participants will receive 2 CEUs.*
In this training, Erin Keltner, MSW, LICSW, KVC West Virginia’s Vice President of Clinical Services, will help participants:
- Review current information about burnout, turnover, and the effects of the Great Resignation
- Explore how we bring some passion back into our work for all staff through team and self exploration
- Discuss the basics of employee engagement
- Understand how employee wellbeing affects employee engagement
- Integrate wellbeing and engagement as part of work culture
- Increase connection between client engagement and staff engagement
*CEUs are valid for individuals in West Virginia who have a social work license or are licensed professional counselors (LPC).
