Make This Holiday Season Special for Youth in Foster Care

This year, start a NEW tradition!
Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly changed the way we live our daily lives, and disrupted, rescheduled and even canceled normal traditions like graduation ceremonies, vacations and holiday celebrations. While we’re all adjusting to the new normal, why not start a NEW tradition?!
This holiday season, start a new tradition and give back to your community with our Holiday Heroes program! Holiday Heroes can be individuals, families, churches, community organizations or businesses.
Children who find themselves in foster care are victims of abuse, neglect or other family challenges. While our foster families provide so much love and care to the children and teens they serve, as well as a safe place to live, it can be difficult to provide “extra” items like presents during the holidays. Providing gifts is one way you can support foster families and show children that they matter.
KVC West Virginia has collected and provided gifts to children in foster care for over 10 years. Because of our incredible Holiday Heroes, we were able to purchase gifts for nearly 200 families and 1,000 children in foster care last year. Join us in making the holiday season special for these children in need!
How do I become a Holiday Hero?
There are a few ways to become a Holiday Hero! First, choose how you’d like to donate from the options below. Just like last year, we’re offering contact-free donation options with our online donation form and an Amazon wishlist. If you prefer to donate in-person, we also accept unwrapped gifts at our offices and have strict sanitization processes in place. All in-person donations must be dropped off by Friday, December 10.
