Dealing with Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Vicarious Trauma
As front line workers (and even supervisors), we work with families that have endured a great amount of trauma. Sometimes this trauma can start to affect our work and personal lives. This training is designed to help workers recognize the signs of vicarious/secondary trauma, burnout, and compassion fatigue, as well as how to address it.
This training has been applied for 4 CEUs for Psychology, Social Work, and Counselors. Cost is $60.00. Lunch will be provided. Training is refundable with full 24 hour notice to Erin Keltner at ekeltner@kvc.org. We look forward to seeing you for this helpful and meaningful training!
Training will be presented by KVC’s own Jennie Storer:
Dr. Jennifer Storer received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Wittenberg University in Ohio. She obtained her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from Ohio University in 2010 and 2014, respectively. She completed her clinical internship with the WVU School of Medicine—Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in Charleston.
