DESCRIPTION:Nearly 6\,000 West Virginia children and teens in foster care need people like you to open their hearts and homes. It only takes ONE caring adult to change a child’s life. How about you? \nOne of the first and most important steps to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent is to complete PRIDE (Parent Resource Information Development and Education) training. This class prepares you to care for a child who has experienced trauma and helps you build many other skills in your journey to become a foster or adoptive parent. PRIDE training also helps you determine if fostering or adopting is right for you. \nKVC West Virginia offers this course at no cost to you. Classes will be held virtually every Thursday with two class time options: 10am-12pm or 6-8pm. Class starts June 26\, 2025 and ends August 21\, 2025. Class size is limited so reach out to us today! \nOur training classes can fill quickly so please reach out soon if you’re interested.
