DESCRIPTION:Ethics training is an integral part of ensuring that social workers and helping professionals uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and provide ethical\, compassionate\, and effective services to their clients. The aim of this ethics training is to help professionals identify\, understand and navigate ethical dilemmas that may arise in their practice. \nOur experienced trainer uses a combination of interactive activities\, case studies\, and real-life examples to help attendees navigate complex ethical situations and make ethical decisions with confidence. DESCRIPTION:According to Gallup\, 28% of U.S. employees experience burnout on the job very often or always. For social workers and mental health professionals\, the prevalence of burnout is even more common. A study conducted following the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic reported that 64% of social workers were experiencing burnout. Social workers and mental health professionals are especially at risk for burnout because they are exposed to the effects of trauma\, poverty\, and social and racial inequality on a daily basis. \nEvery workplace needs more resilient employees. A global mental health crisis and economic turmoil have created a need for a renewed focus on employee engagement and wellbeing. To help our partners and communities combat burnout and improve their wellbeing at work\, KVC is hosting a virtual training designed specifically for our partners in the child welfare and behavioral healthcare industries. SUMMARY:Virtual Training: Eating Disorders and Their Treatment - 2 CEUs
DESCRIPTION:Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical conditions that relate to persistent eating behaviors that negatively impact health\, emotions and the ability to function in important areas of life. They affect people of all genders\, ages\, races\, ethnicities\, sexual orientations\, body shapes\, and weights. National surveys estimate that 20 million women and 10 million men in America will have an eating disorder at some point in their lives. Eating disorders can be fatal but with treatment\, people can make a full recovery. \nTo educate our community about eating disorders and their treatment options\, KVC is hosting a virtual training designed specifically for our partners in the child welfare and behavioral healthcare industries. Participants will receive 2 CEUs*.  \nIn this training\, Erin Keltner\, MSW\, LICSW\, KVC West Virginia’s Vice President of Clinical Services\, will help participants: \n\nLearn about types of eating disorders\nUnderstand symptoms and how they present\nReview effects of co-morbidity with other mental health conditions\nDispel myths about eating disorders and treatment\nDiscover treatment options and modalities\n\n*CEUs are valid for individuals in West Virginia who have a social work license or are licensed professional counselors (LPC). \nRegister\nWe have two training times available on Wednesday\, January 11: \n\n10AM – 12PM\n3-5PM\n\nRegistration is closed. \nAbout the presenter\n\n \nErin Keltner\, MSW\, LICSW \n\nErin Keltner started with Croney and Clark\, Inc. (now KVC Kentucky) as a practicum student in August 2004. Since then\, Ms. Keltner has worked as a case manager and clinician in the Intensive In-Home Services and IMPACT Plus programs\, was the Director of IMPACT Plus and then the Director of Development\, Training\, and Quality Assurance. Ms. Keltner also assisted KVC Kentucky in becoming accredited by The Joint Commission in November 2010. Ms. Keltner started working in West Virginia in 2011 and is currently acting as the Director of Permanency in addition to her Vice President duties. \nMs. Keltner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Transylvania University in 2001 and received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2005. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kentucky and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in West Virginia.

(now KVC Kentucky) as a practicum student in August 2004. Since then\, Ms. Keltner has worked as a case manager and clinician in the Intensive In-Home Services and IMPACT Plus programs\, was the Director of IMPACT Plus and then the Director of Development\, Training\, and Quality Assurance. Ms. Keltner also assisted KVC Kentucky in becoming accredited by The Joint Commission in November 2010. Ms. Keltner started working in West Virginia in 2011 and is currently acting as the Director of Permanency in addition to her Vice President duties. \nMs. Keltner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Transylvania University in 2001 and received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2005. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Kentucky and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in West Virginia.
