SUMMARY:Dealing with Burnout\, Compassion Fatigue\, and Vicarious Trauma Training (2 CEUs)
DESCRIPTION:Are you feeling burned out at work? You’re not alone. According to Deloitte’s marketplace survey on burnout\, 77% of respondents say they have experienced burnout at their current job\, with more than half citing more than one occurrence. To make matters worse\, the COVID-19 pandemic both exacerbates the pre-existing causes of burnout and adds its own stressors. \nTo counter this problem\, KVC is offering a virtual “Dealing with Burnout\, Compassion Fatigue\, and Vicarious Trauma” training designed specifically for our partners in the behavioral healthcare industry. \nIn this training\, Erin Keltner\, MSW\, LICSW\, KVC West Virginia’s Vice President of Clinical Services\, will discuss: \n\nthe definitions for burnout and compassion fatigue\,\nhow to identify signs and triggers\,\nthe effect of burnout on employees and employers\, and\nidentify factors and strategies for combatting burnout and compassion fatigue.\n\nYou will receive two CEUs for your participation. \nJoin the Training\nThe training has ended. \nAbout the Presenter\nErin Keltner\, MSW\, LICSW \nErin Keltner started with Croney and Clark\, Inc. (now KVC Kentucky) as a practicum student in August 2004. Since then\, Ms. Keltner has worked as a case manager and clinician in the Intensive In-Home Services and IMPACT Plus programs\, was the Director of IMPACT Plus and then the Director of Development\, Training\, and Quality Assurance. Ms. Keltner also assisted KVC Kentucky in becoming accredited by The Joint Commission in November 2010. Ms. Keltner started working in West Virginia in 2011 and is currently acting as the Director of Permanency in addition to her Vice President duties. \nMs. Keltner graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Transylvania University in 2001 and received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2005.
